Andrei Rublev was born in 1360 in the Grand Duchy of Moscow. He was a Russian icon painter of the Moscow school, as well as a monk and manuscript illuminator. His work encompassed icon painting and miniature art. Rublev created significant works such as the icon "Trinity," "Christ Almighty," and "Archangel Michael." In his artistic activity, he combined the skills of both manuscript and monumental painting of the 15th century. Andrei Rublev passed away on October 17, 1428, at the Andronikov Monastery. For his spiritual and artistic contributions, he was canonized by the Russian Orthodox Church as a saint.
