Among the well-known works by the artist are the paintings "The Model's Rest," "Monção departing," "Caipira Cutting Tobacco," "A Conversão de São Paulo a Caminho de Damasco," and "Interrupted Whetting." Almeida Júnior passed away on November 13, 1899, in Piracicaba, leaving a substantial mark on 19th-century Brazilian art.
