Alexander Grigoriev
Alexander Vladimirovich Grigoriev (1891–1961) was a Mari Soviet artist and cultural figure who played a key role in advancing visual arts in the Mari region. Honored as a Distinguished Art Worker of the Mari ASSR in 1961, he contributed significantly to the development of Mari artistic culture.

Biography
Alexander Vladimirovich Grigoriev was born on May 28, 1891, in Pertnury. He was a Mari Soviet artist, public figure, and academician associated with the Russian Empire and the USSR. Throughout his life, Grigoriev actively contributed to the acceleration and establishment of visual arts in the Mari region. In recognition of his achievements in the arts, he was awarded the honorary title of Distinguished Art Worker of the Mari Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in 1961. Alexander Vladimirovich Grigoriev passed away on August 25, 1961, in Moscow.
