Alexander Andreyevich Ivanov (1806–1858) was a Russian neoclassical painter and graphic artist of the Russian Empire, known for his historical scenes. Born and died in Saint Petersburg, he was the eldest son and student of Andreyev Ivanov and an academician of the Imperial Academy of Arts.

Alexander Andreyevich Ivanov was born on July 16, 1806, in Saint Petersburg. He was the eldest son and closest student of Andreyev Ivanov. Alexander Ivanov became one of the most significant painters of the Nicholas era, working primarily in the genre of historical painting and graphics. He gained recognition as a follower of classicism and a representative of the neoclassical movement in the art of the Russian Empire. Ivanov was an academician of the Imperial Academy of Arts. Among his most famous works is the painting "The Appearance of Christ to the People." Ivanov lived and worked in Saint Petersburg, where he passed away on July 3, 1858.
