Aleksander Warma
Aleksander Warma (1890–1970) was an Estonian statesman and diplomat. He served as prime minister with presidential powers of the Estonian government in exile and held various ministerial roles. A naval officer in both Imperial Russia and Estonia, he later lived in Sweden, where he died.
Biography
Aleksander Warma was born on June 22, 1890, in Viinistu. He was an Estonian statesman and diplomat who held key positions in the Estonian government in exile. Warma served as prime minister with presidential powers of the Estonian government in exile and acted as prime minister from 1962 to 1963. Prior to this, he held the positions of minister of foreign affairs and minister of justice of the Estonian government in exile from 1953 to 1962. Throughout his career, Warma was an officer in the naval forces of both the Russian Empire and Estonia, reflecting his military service. Later in life, Aleksander Warma resided in Sweden, where he passed away on December 23, 1970, in Stockholm.
