Adolf Born (June 12, 1930 – May 22, 2016) was a Czech artist, illustrator, caricaturist, and animation director. He also worked as a screenwriter, writer, stage designer, and postage stamp designer, contributing extensively to graphic arts and animation.
Biography
Adolf Born was born on June 12, 1930, in České Velenice and died on May 22, 2016, in Prague. He was a Czech artist, illustrator, caricaturist, and director of animated films. In his creative career, Born combined many professions: he was a graphic artist, ex-libriste, draftsman, animation artist, as well as a film director, screenwriter, and writer. Additionally, he worked as a stage designer and postage stamp designer. His artistic legacy includes diverse types of graphics and animation. Alongside his creative work, Adolf Born was known for his consistent monarchist views. His entire life was connected to Czechoslovakia and later the Czech Republic, which were his cultural and national environment.
