Biography

Ad Reinhardt was born on December 24, 1913, in Buffalo, USA. Throughout his career, he became one of the foremost American avant-garde artists, known for his work in the genres of geometric abstraction and abstraction. In addition to painting, Reinhardt also practiced printmaking and collage. He was associated with the abstract expressionism movement and made a significant contribution to its development. Beyond his artistic endeavors, he worked as a university teacher. Reinhardt lived and worked in the United States until his death on August 30, 1967, in New York.
