Abdulnasser Gharem was born on June 4, 1973, in Khamis Mushait, Saudi Arabia. He is an artist actively working in performance and object creation. In addition to his artistic career, Gharem holds the military rank of lieutenant colonel in the Saudi Arabian army. In April 2011, his installation Message/Messenger was sold at auction in Dubai for a record sum, marking a significant event in contemporary Saudi art. His works reflect the cultural characteristics of Saudi Arabia and contribute to the international recognition of the country in the field of contemporary art.
