Abdel Hadi Al Gazzar was born on March 14, 1925, in Alexandria, Egypt. He held a unique position among the artists of his generation. As a member of the Modern Art Group, he stood out by incorporating social commentary into his works, alongside the group's general emphasis on traditional Egyptian identity. His most famous painting, "The High Dam," reflects the impact of the modernization efforts undertaken by the Egyptian government on society and people's way of life. Abdel Hadi Al Gazzar was a distinguished Egyptian artist. He passed away on March 8, 1966, in the city of Rawda.
